Why your file never leaves your device
Most online tools upload your file to a server, work on it there, and keep a copy for a while. Thryve Photo does the work inside your browser instead, with code that runs on your own device, so there is no upload, no copy on a server and nothing to delete afterwards. - How do I get a photo under 50 KB or 100 KB for a form?
- First resize it to the pixel size the form asks for, since that removes most of the data, then compress it at Balanced or Max. A 413 × 531 passport photo at Max is usually well under 50 KB.
- Can I compress many photos at once?
- Yes. Drop them all, pick one level, and they download together as a zip.
- Does compressing reduce the pixel size?
- No. The dimensions stay the same; only the amount of detail stored changes. Use Resize to change dimensions.
- Is my photo uploaded to a server?
- No. The photo is opened and processed inside your browser tab, on your own device, and the result is saved straight back to it. Thryve has no server that receives files.
- Is it free?
