1. Licence
I grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, as permitted by the App Store usage rules. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the App, except where the law allows it. The App's artwork, code and name remain my property or that of their licensors. Apple's Standard EULA applies alongside these Terms; where the two differ on the licence, the Standard EULA governs your licence to use the App.
2. Habit Cricket Pro
The App is free to use and shows no ads. Habit Cricket Pro is an optional upgrade, sold through the App Store as:
- an auto-renewing monthly subscription;
- an auto-renewing yearly subscription, which starts with a 7-day free trial; or
- a one-time lifetime purchase, which does not renew.
Pro unlocks unlimited habits (the free version allows three), weekday schedules, weekly targets and daily amount goals, advanced stats, the World Cup tournament, a focus timer, the Test format without unlocking it first, a second free hit each innings, and the Pro jerseys. Widgets, the Live Activity and iCloud backup are free for everyone and are not part of Pro. Prices are shown in the App before you buy and are set by the App Store for your country. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account; use Restore purchases in the App to get Pro on a new or reinstalled iPhone or on your iPad.
3. Subscriptions and the free trial
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. For the yearly subscription with a free trial, the first payment is charged when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then.
- A subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription, and turn off automatic renewal, in your Apple Account settings on your iPhone or iPad (Settings > your name > Subscriptions). Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription or the lifetime purchase.
- Apple processes all payments, so refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. I cannot issue refunds myself.
4. Scores, runs and power-ups
Runs, wickets, badges, trophies, shop items and power-ups such as DRS, Free hit and Rain delay have no real-world value. Runs are earned by playing, are spent only in the in-game shop, cannot be bought with or exchanged for money, and may be rebalanced as the App is updated. Habit Cricket is not affiliated with any cricket board, league or team.
5. Your data
Your habits and scores are stored on your device, and there is no account or server of my own. When you are signed in to iCloud, the App also keeps a backup in your own iCloud account, which you can turn off in your Profile. If you delete the App, reset its data or lose your device, your progress may be lost unless it is in that iCloud backup or your device backup, or you have exported it. iCloud is provided by Apple, and I cannot guarantee that a backup is complete or can be restored. You can export a copy at any time with Export data in your Profile and bring it back with Import data, which replaces what is on the device.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the App to break the law, tamper with the App or its purchases, or interfere with App Store services.
7. Privacy
How information is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimer and liability
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. It is a motivational tool, not health, medical or professional advice. To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or loss of data or progress, arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
9. Changes and termination
I may update the App or these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it; to stop paying for a subscription, cancel it in your Apple Account settings as described in section 3.
