Desi Blocks: Block Puzzle

Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 October 2026

This policy explains how the game “Desi Blocks: Block Puzzle” for Android and iPhone (the “App”, package and bundle ID com.naazim.desiblocks), developed and published by Thryve Apps (“I”, “me”), handles information. In short: I don't run a server and don't collect personal information myself. On Android, Google provides the App's ads, analytics, leaderboards and purchases. On iPhone, Google provides the ads and Apple provides leaderboards and purchases (see section 13). Each collects data as described below. By using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Information stored on your device

The App saves your game progress locally on your device: your best scores, the game in progress, Daily Thali results and streak, Yatra progress and marigolds, the skin you chose, the state you chose for leaderboards, and settings such as sound, music, vibration, voice, language and reminders. This data is not sent to me. If you are signed in to Google Play Games, a copy of your progress is also kept in your own Google account so it can come back on a new phone (see section 5). If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may back up this save file to your Google account (Google Drive) so it can be restored when you reinstall the App or set up a new phone. That backup is handled by Google and you can manage it in your device's backup settings. Otherwise the data is removed when you uninstall the App.

2. Information I collect

I do not collect, store, or receive any personal information directly. The App has no accounts of its own and no backend server. The only sign-in is the optional Google Play Games one used for leaderboards. Analytics, advertising and leaderboard data is handled by Google through the services described below.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App shows ads provided by Google AdMob: a banner at the bottom of the play screen, ads between games, and videos you choose to watch for Keep Playing and Chai Break. AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and use data such as:

  • Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID)
  • IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • Device information (model, OS version, language, screen size)
  • App interaction and ad performance data (ad views, clicks, crashes and diagnostics)

This data is used to serve and measure ads, prevent fraud, and, where permitted, personalise ads. Google's use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and in the Google Privacy Policy.

4. Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

I use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played. It collects an app-instance identifier, device information and in-game events, for example games started and finished, scores, Yatra levels, whether the tutorial is completed, and the language, skin and state you choose. This data is processed by Google; see the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information. I use this data only to improve the game. Analytics starts only after the consent step described below. Where consent is required, it follows the choices you make there.

5. Leaderboards and progress sync (Google Play Games)

If you are signed in to Google Play Games, the App sends your scores to Play Games leaderboards, where they are shown with your Play Games name and picture. If you choose your state in the App, your score is also sent to that state's leaderboard. The App uses your Play Games player identity only to submit scores and show the leaderboards. You can hide your activity or delete your Play Games data in the Play Games app's settings. Play Games is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Progress sync. While you are signed in to Google Play Games, the App keeps a copy of your game progress (best scores, games played, Daily Thali results and streak, Yatra stars, tutorials seen and the state you picked) in Play Games saved games, so it can come back after a reinstall or on a new device. The copy is stored by Google in your own Google account; I have no access to it and run no server of my own. Settings, the game in progress and purchases are not synced. You can delete the saved data from your Play Games profile or your Google account at any time.

6. In-app purchase (Google Play)

The App offers one optional purchase, “Remove Ads”. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play and I never see your payment details. The App asks Google Play whether you own the purchase so it can restore it after a reinstall. Google Play's handling of purchases is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service.

7. Reminder notifications

The App can show a local notification reminding you about the Daily Thali. Reminders are scheduled on your device and no notification data is sent to me. You can turn them off in the App's settings or in your device's notification settings.

8. Sharing your score

If you choose “Share on WhatsApp”, the App opens WhatsApp with a text containing your Daily Thali score and streak. Nothing is shared unless you send that message yourself.

10. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or under the applicable age of digital consent in your country), and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact me and I will help resolve it.

11. Data sharing and security

I do not sell personal information. The only third parties involved are Google (AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase, Google Play and Google Play Games) and, on iPhone, Apple (Game Center and the App Store), as described in this policy. Data sent to these services is encrypted in transit. Because I do not collect personal data, I hold none to protect.

12. Your rights and data deletion

Depending on where you live (for example under India's DPDP Act, the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights over data that Google collects through ads and analytics. Since I hold no personal data, you can exercise these rights through your Google account privacy controls at myaccount.google.com or by contacting me. Uninstalling the App deletes the progress stored on your device; a copy may stay in your device backup (Google Drive or iCloud) until you delete it there, and the synced copy stays in Play Games saved games or iCloud until you delete it there. Leaderboard scores and saved games can be removed by deleting your Play Games data in the Play Games app's settings.

13. The iPhone (iOS) version

On iPhone the App works as described above, with these differences:

  • Saved progress and iCloud sync: your progress is stored on your iPhone and may be included in your iCloud or computer backup if you have backups turned on. If you are signed in to iCloud, the App also keeps a copy of your game progress (the same items as in section 5) in your own iCloud account using Apple's iCloud key-value storage, instead of Play Games, so it follows you to a new iPhone or comes back after you reinstall. Apple stores and syncs it under your Apple ID; I never receive it and can't see it. Settings, an unfinished game and purchases aren't synced; purchases come back through “Restore Purchases”. To turn this off, switch Desi Blocks off in Settings > [your name] > iCloud, or sign out of iCloud.
  • Advertising: ads come from Google AdMob as described in section 3. The App asks for your permission (Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt) before AdMob can use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the IDFA is not used and ads are not personalised using it. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
  • No analytics: the iPhone version does not include Google Analytics for Firebase.
  • Reminder notifications: as on Android (section 7), the reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone, and nothing is sent to me. The App asks for Apple's notification permission before showing any. You can turn them off in the App's settings or in Settings > Notifications on your iPhone.
  • Leaderboards (Apple Game Center): if you are signed in to Game Center, the App sends your scores to Game Center leaderboards, including your state's leaderboard if you chose a state, where they are shown with your Game Center nickname. Game Center is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy, and you can manage it in Settings > Game Center.
  • In-app purchase (App Store): “Remove Ads” is bought through the App Store and Apple handles the payment. I never see your payment details. The App asks the App Store which purchases you own so it can restore them, and “Restore Purchases” in Settings does this on request.

14. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
