About this collection

Why this collection exists

Accounts create identity, billing, and often telemetry surfaces. This collection lists software whose catalogue identity field is recorded as no account required, enabling you to encrypt files, sync folders peer-to-peer, browse privately, edit diagrams, or run local AI without signing up first.

Privacy context

Working without an account removes one major tracking and retention surface, but tools can still phone home, download models, or offer optional sync later. Use this collection when you want to start without registration, then read processing, storage, and tracking fields before putting sensitive data in the tool.

Inclusion criteria

Membership is curated against the rules below. It is not an automatic filter and does not grant review or verification status.

  • Privacy-profile identity is recorded as no account required for core use.
  • Optional premium accounts, cloud sync, or telepresence features may exist elsewhere in the product line; the core listed workflow must remain usable without registration.
  • Optional-account or email-account products are excluded unless the catalogue records true no-account core use.
  • Absence of an account does not imply absence of network traffic, telemetry, or uploads; check the full profile.
